- ICFAI Law School organised the Virtual Debate Competition on the topic of “Role of Social Media in Indian Politics” on May 28th 2021. The objective of this competition is to inculcate a healthy debate culture amongst students and contrive them to defend what they stand for. This debate competition gave a platform to students for encapsulating and analysing the challenges and wonders of this digital era we all live in. This debate advanced the participant’s familiarization with the role of social media in Indian politics.
- Organised online faculty development program on “Emerging Paradigms of Research Methodology, Innovative Teaching Techniques and Contemporary Legal Facets” from 26th July to 30th July 2021. Total 249 registrations were received PAN India. Hon’ble Mr. Justice G.Yethirajulu retired Judge High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Legal Advisor and Arbitrator, participated as Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony on 26th July 2021. Hon’ble Justice G.V.Seethapathy, retired Judge High Court of Andhra Pradesh, participated as Chief Guest for the Valedictory Ceremony on 30th July 2021.
- Organised first virtual National Moot Court Competition during 17th – 19th September 2021. Total 59 teams registered PAN INDIA. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mahendar Kumar Goyal Judge Rajasthan High Court participate as Chief Guest and Prof.(Dr.) A.V.Narsimha Rao, Director ICFAI Law School, IFHE Hyderabad participated as Guest of Honor during the inaugural session on 17th September, 2021. Hon’ble Dr. Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati Judge Rajasthan High Court Judged the Final Round and participated as Chief Guest and Shri Vikramjit Banerjee, Additional Solicitor General of India participated as Guest of Honor during valedictory session on 19th September, 2021.
- Organised five day orientation program for batch 2021-2026 from 28th Sept.2021 to 2nd Oct.2021.
- On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a virtual celebration was organized by Sangam- The Nexus of Culture, The Cultural Committee of ICFAI Law School, to commemorate the undying principles and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and also making it a concluding event of the 5 Days Orientation Programme for the Batch of 2021-26 on 2nd Oct.2021.
- The ICFAI University, Jaipur has celebrated the International Women’s Day 2021 on March 8, 2021 to honor womanhood. Ms. Sheenu Jhawar (Director of the Board of Apex Hospital, Jaipur), Dr. Archana Sharma (Vice President and Media Chairperson of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, Jaipur) & Ms. Manjit Kaur (Advocate at Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur) addressed the gathering.
- ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Jaipur organized “Matinee Show- Ek Ruka Hua Faisla” on 18th February 2021. The event was compulsory for all the Law students. This show was organized by Literary Committee in order to develop the analytical approach of students through entertainment mode because motion pictures ameliorate analytical skills efficaciously than any other product of art and leave greater impact on minds as well.
- The Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, ICFAI Law School Jaipur successfully conducted an “Online Session on ADR and it's techniques” for the students of First year on 3rd May 2021 on Google Meet. Report attached herewith for your kind perusal.
- ICFAI Law School organized first of its kind competition 'Lex Cine: Let's Examine the Reel' as a part of its Activity-Based-Learning Program on February 26, 2021 (Friday). Young, bright students (most of them belong to first year of their legal studies) participated with full enthusiasm and performed wonderfully well. The event was conducted with the aim of bringing a fun factor with learning in the legal field. The participants were provided with an opportunity to learn research, drafting and presentation skills.
- ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Jaipur has organized “The Extempore Speech Competition” on 25th March, 2021. The objective of the competition was to build up the competitor’s ability to develop the point of view on general topic and to deliver an impromptu speech within stipulated time. ICFAI Law School endeavours to provide a platform for students to enhance their communication skills and critical thinking. The topics in the competition were associated with distinct subjects such as current issues, general knowledge, constitution, socio-legal issues etc.
- ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University Jaipur, has organized on-campus Guest Lecture on the topic of “Role of NGOs in Women Empowerment: A Case for Legal Intervention” on 25th February 2021. Dr. Lad Kumari Jain, Former Professor of Political Science, University of Rajasthan & Former Chairperson of Rajasthan State Women Commission, Jaipur addressed the session.
- An Ice Breaking Session was organized on 03 March,2021for the ILS batch of 2020-2025 and 2020-2023 by Sangam- The Nexus of Culture, The Cultural Committee, ICFAI Law School.
- ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Jaipur has organized “Legal Awareness Program on Anti Ragging & Sexual Harassment” on March 9, 2021. The objective of organizing this event is to sensitize the students against the Ragging & Harassment, motivating them to refrain from such activities and inform the members of Anti Ragging & Sexual Harassment Committee. ICFAI Law School strictly prohibits Ragging & Harassment and follows UGC guidelines in eliminating the scourge of ragging among the students and to provide them congenial environment to learn and develop both mentally and physically.
- The Moot Court Committee of ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Jaipur on 20th Feb 2021, successfully organized “Mastering Trial Advocacy” a panel discussion by Mr. Neil Dutta an Advocate, High Court of Bombay & Associate of Wadia Ghandy & Co., Mr. Mohd. Nausheen Samar an Advocate, High Court of Delhi and Mr. Saras Mazumdar an Associate of AZB & Partners.
- The Moot Court Committee successfully conducted “First Virtual Intra Moot Court Exercise (for the batch 2019-24)” and provided an opportunity to the second year law students on 07 May 2021, to be well-acquainted with the latest trends of national and international competitions . The main objective of this exercise was to expose the second year law students to the system of virtual moot court competition and to evaluate their internal marks for the subject of Evidence Law. Detailed Report is enclosed herewith for kind perusal.
- Mock Court & Memo Drafting Session has been scheduled for First Year students, Batch of 2020-2025 on Sunday May 9, 2021 at 11.30 AM. This session has been kept at the request of first year students as they were not confident in preparing the same. Hence Second year students would enact a moot proposition for first year students and memorial preparation exercise would be done today.
- The Cultural committee of ICFAI Law School, IUJ have planned the cultural activities for students on the weekends by the name "Aaghaaz: Kalakaar ki Pahchaan" which includes a series of activities- such as - Photography and Poem Recitation on 15/05/2021; Dance and Chess Competition on 22/05/2021; Singing and Painting on 29/05/2021.
- Moot Court Committee has planned the event "Lit of Litigants 3rd Edition - A Capacity Building Moot Exclusively for the First year Students" for first year students on 21st & 22nd May, 2021.
